Miss Deaf Texas... struck by a train

"Tara Rose McAvoy, 18, was walking Monday near railroad tracks when she was struck by a Union Pacific train, authorities said.
A witness told Austin television station KTBC the train sounded its horn right up until the accident occurred."

If you're deaf... it's probably a GOOD IDEA TO NOT WALK ALONG/NEAR TRAIN TRACKS! Gah!

I thought that would have been fucking common sense, but whatever.

I think she was doing the smart things and laying her ear on the track so she could feel the vibration of the train. little did she know it was a mag-lev track.

Okay so I've worked with a lot of Deaf people...and she def. should have felt the vibrations of the train coming.
But you're not the only heartless bastard...my boyfriend said that's so sad it's almost funny...he says "She gets the Darwin award for the day."

Just wait till your hearing goes!
